Amy and Greg are two of the smiliest employees that we have! Both show up to work and never complain. Amy always has a hug for everyone who walks through the door, whether they want it or not. Greg always shows up with a positive attitude and loves it when the boss gives him a hard time. Greg often finds himself as the only man working and gets a hard time more often than not. We love both Amy and Greg and can’t wait to see them every time they work!
Oh Doug! What would we do without you? Doug volunteers at the shop twice a week (and more often when we need him) and is an amazing addition to the team. He has such a positive attitude and does so well with every single employee. How can you not love Doug?
Jennifer is the happiest and most sincere person you will ever meet! Try not to smile around this girl! We LOVE Jennifer because she has the most amazing smile and attitude! She is such a hard worker and is always eager to be at work!
Marian is in and out of the shop, but we are hoping to see her more often! We thought it would be worth an honorable mention, because she and her mom come and volunteer on Saturdays and without them, we would be in a world of hurt! We love you, sweet girl!
Sidney is our resident, angsty employee who we adore! Sidney is such a hard worker with such a positive attitude. Rumor has it that her grandma and the owner’s dad grew up together! Sidney brings such a sweet and kind attitude to the shop that can’t be beat! We love you Sidney! Don’t ever change!
Ashley is not only a fantastic singer and dancer, but she is a hard worker and wonderful friend. We showed up to her birthday party this year and had never seen so many people show up for one person! Not only is she popular, but she is sweet and kind!
Evelyn is one of the happiest and most positive people that you will ever meet. Her work ethic is unmatched and she goes above and beyond to make sure to communicate what is going on at the shop. Evelyn is an absolute joy to work with and be friends with.
Joann started as a volunteer in the shop but was quickly hired as a paid employee as she proved to be a hard worker and a valued employee. Joann recently got a second job and we are so proud of her! We love having Joann around because of her positive attitude and her amazing laugh.
Mikayla helped us move everything into the new shop and I had to beg her to come work for us and I am so glad that she did! Mik is a light wherever she goes and is such an inspiration to those around her. You have got to meet her if you haven’t!
Vickie came to us when we first opened the new shop in Boise and wanted to make a difference and boy has she! Vickie volunteers twice a week and makes such an amazing difference in the lives of our staff. Without her, I don’t know where we would be! Vickie has such an amazing, positive attitude and we just love her!
Betty is a part of the STEP program and is such an amazing person and hard worker. We just love how Betty has come out of her shell since she started working here. She has been able to make friends and develop her personality in ways that have shown such tremendous growth. We just love having Betty as a part of our staff!
Sweetest Evie! She is a hard worker and always communicates so well. Evie is loving and caring and always ensures to keep a positive working relationship with her co-workers. Evie moved her way up from volunteer to paid employee very quickly and has always been a welcomed addition to the team. We just love her. 🙂
Kari, you are the sweetest and add such a fun spirit to the shop on Saturday mornings! She is a hard worker and a wonderful friend to anyone who enters the shop. We are so lucky to have Kari who splits her time between the candy shop and the Boise Aquarium.
MIRSAD! The most famous sign guy around! Originally, I hired Mirsad as our sign guy until I realized how much he fit in with us. I offered to teach him how to work inside and he was very hesitant at first, because he didn’t think he could learn. Now, Mirsad is one of the best cashiers around. He is the fastest and most efficient cleaner in all of Boise and brings such a fun and happy personality to the shop. We love Mirsad!
Zola is the sweetest and kindest 7 year old you will meet! We may be a little partial, but when it comes to advocating for people with disabilities, this little girl is the best around! We love her little fighting spirit and enjoy everything about her!
This is one of our employees, Cody. He has been working with us from the very beginning of operations. Cody has come a long way from where he started in 2019. We love having Cody working for us!
The owner, Cyndy was fortunate enough to meet Jeff’s mom, Brenda at a conference prior to Sweet Zola’s opening. Jeff started working at Sweet Zola’s in January of 2019, which is right when the shop first opened. Jeff has always been such an integral part of the team and does such a great job of motivating everyone. Thanks Jeff for everything!
Meet Kenny! Kenny shows up when we are lucky and we get so excited to see his smiling face! Kenny is always a friend to everyone and just kind of does whatever he wants…and we let him, because he is a rock star!
Robin has been a part of Sweet Zola’s from the very beginning. From day one in Meridian, Robin was our friend and was always looking for a job. Thankfully, she followed us to Boise, because she has been an essential worker! Robin is fantastic with customers and employees alike! One of my favorite parts of the day is going in to see that smiling face! We love you, Robin!
